What is CooSpace?
CooSpace is a communication tool providing a virtual cooperation space for the members of education (teachers, students, researcher). The mission of CooSpace is to support the interactive, content-sharing, content-producing communities. All user has the opportunity to choose the necessary communication tools for his/her tasks. CooSpace provides an academic and professional platform for the members of education.
- Almost 80,000 teachers and students have access to CooSpace in Hungarian higher education.
- After more than 100,000 documents and about 6 million downloads, the usage is still rising up constantly.
- There are more than 25,000 quiz question in the quiz bank, and more than 100,000 on-line tests had been done in the system.

We check the efficiency of development by making yearly broad end-user satisfaction survey: 98% of the answers said the CooSpace had contributed to expansion the services and improve the quality of the services of the institutions.
Focus on the scene
The scene is the heart of CooSpace. A scene is a virtual place of activities. Scene can be generated upon course, department, conference, researching project, etc. In the scenes a constantly growing pack of tools support the cooperation.
CooSpace has the common on-line communication tools like forum, chat, blog and electronic bulletin table.
Exercise handling and attendance register are frequent needs in education. Make attendance registers, appoint personalized, grouped exercises with deadlines and attachments. Completed exercises can be evaluated and commentary can be added to evaluation.
Test the absorbed knowledge by examination. The questions of the examination quiz can be edited by familiar text editor (ie. Word), or questions can be imported. In case of answer choice type quize the evaluation is automatic. Let the students test themselves.
There is a registration tool to manage presentation times and consultant meetings, and there is a voting tool as well.
Share documents with others in the scene with the opportunity of thematic grouping to occasion, exercise or test, subject heading. The content is automatically indexed by the system, so content searching is possible.
Present SCORM materials, media stream or on-line execution.
There are filebags and picture galleries with indexed content.
There is a cronological view of exercises, documents, tests and attendances, it shows well the flow of the course.
Send notes about new events in system in e-mail, SMS or on RSS channels. The information access can be controlled by person or by role for all tool issue.
